The Touratech Aventuro Carbon lineup is updated again, with the new PRO model.
The second-gen Carbon helmet was a big update, with 40 percent more airflow than the first helmet. Now, the PRO model has eight intake vents and four exhaust vents that are supposed to cool your head even more, pushing air through channels in the helmet’s EPS liner. The theme of glove-friendly vent openings continues, and the eyeshield opening is also easier to use with gloves, says Touratech. The brow vents have been updated to better work in hot-and-sweaty conditions. The dual-function chin vent has been updated to allow finer controls of the airflow; there’s a new peak on the helmet, too, intended to reduce wind drag. It’s also supposed to be easier to remove the re-designed peak, for cleaning your eyeshield or adding a Pinlock.

Touratech says the helmet now offers a wider field of view, and accommodates eyeglasses better. Inside the helmet, redesigned cheekpads and a new Ergo Padding System fine-tune your fit for comfort. The liner is Coolmax, to keep you comfortable in hot weather. Of course the internals are also pre-molded with recesses for a comm system’s speakers, mics and wiring. There’s also a camera mount location on top of the helmet and one on each side, just like the second-gen Aventuro Carbon helmet.
The helmet shell is made of X-PRO Carbon Fiber, offering high strength at light weight. Tried-and-tested double-d ring closure keeps the helmet in place.
The Aventuro Carbon PRO meets ECE 22.06 and DOT safety standards.
Asking price starts at $699 in the US. For more details and pix, see Touratech’s website here.
