While the KTM 690 Enduro series along with its Husqvarna 701 Enduro and GasGas ES700 variants are the hottest big-bore dual sports on the market, their suspension is a compromise—too harsh for some, not cushy enough for others. With that in mind, we see a new suspension upgrade now available from WP, which is KTM’s in-house suspension upgrade specialist. It’s the new XPLOR 6500 cartridge, and while it isn’t cheap, it may be the update some riders are looking for.
The suspension fits KTM 690 Enduro R models from 2019 onwards, and Husqvarna 701 Enduro models from 2020 onwards, and the current-gen GasGas ES700. Asking price is €901.60 in Europe, which works out to roughly $930 USD. We’ve seen no official North American price tag yet, but if you ask your local WP suspension service center, chances are they’ll either know USD/CAD pricing, or at least can contact you when that’s available.
