This 1974 Ducati 450 Mark 3 is powered by a 436cc four-stroke single that features a bevel-gear-driven overhead camshaft and a replacement Amal carburetor. The bike is finished in blue with gold accents, and additional equipment includes a five-speed transmission, a steering damper, drum brakes, polished alloy rims, Marzocchi suspension, a black vinyl ducktail seat, and a chrome Silentium muffler. This wide-case 450 Mark 3D is now offered at no reserve with an Ohio title in the seller’s name.
The bike is finished in blue with gold stripes over a black-painted single-downtube open-cradle frame in which the engine is treated as a stressed member. Features include a three-gallon fuel tank, a two-up ducktail seat, folding passenger foot pegs, and both center and side stands. Polished alloy rims measuring 19″ up front and 18″ at the rear are laced to drum-brake hubs and mounted with Pirelli MT76 and MT53 tires, respectively. Marzocchi suspension consists of a 35mm telescopic fork with black-finished sliders as well as a pair of three-way-adjustable shocks mounted to the swingarm.
A chrome handlebar equipped with Verlicchi grips, Aprilia switchgear, and bar-end mirrors is clamped ahead of the adjustment knob for a friction damper in the steering stem. The contoured instrument panel houses CEV gauges consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a 10k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, approximately 150 of which were ridden by the seller.
The 436cc four-stroke single was rated at 25 horsepower when new and features a bevel-gear-driven overhead camshaft, a kick starter, an Amal carburetor, and a downswept headpipe flowing into a chrome Brevetti Silentium muffler with a slash-cut tip.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a wet clutch and a five-speed gearbox with right-side shifting.
