Hiawatha Doodle Bug Super scooter models were built by Beam Manufacturing Company of Webster City, Iowa for sale though the Gambles store chain. The tubular-steel frame is finished in red and mounted with steel bodywork wearing white accents. Details include white upholstery, a passenger grab handle, and dual headlights in addition to a rear-mounted cylindrical fuel tank and a spare wheel.
The 4″ steel wheels are finished in red and mounted with Cheng Shin tires. Braking is handled by a single disc at the rear in addition to a clutch brake reportedly installed under current ownership. The bike does not feature suspension.
The red-finished handlebar has a twist-grip throttle and disc brake lever on the right in addition to a clutch brake lever on the left. The bike is equipped with a horn, turn signals, and brake lights. No instrumentation is present, therefore total mileage is unknown. Approximately 10 miles have been ridden by the seller.
The 127cc Briggs & Stratton four-stroke single features a kick starter and a single carburetor with an oil-bath air cleaner element.
Power is sent to the rear wheel via a primary belt, a centrifugal clutch, and a drive chain.
The frame and engine were issued individual assigned identification numbers from the state of California in 2015, though the scooter was not titled at that time.
The scooter does not have a title or registration and is being sold on a bill of sale only.
