During MotoGP weekend at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, Revival Cycles hosted the 10th annual edition of the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show — one of the world’s most prestigious showcases of custom motorcycles.
From the beginning, the show has encouraged a revival of hand-built ingenuity and craftsmanship.
“As our collective existence slips further into digital abstraction, we at the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show believe something has been lost and it is time to revive the culture of physical craftsmanship. Although in today’s modern mass-produced world few young people are taught how to do physical work or are encouraged to embrace a trade, there remains a universal attraction to the beauty that can only be formed by human hands.
“The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show is an inspiring showcase of works from builders and craftsmen that combine knowledge, skill, and ingenuity to create one-of-a-kind truly hand-built machines.”
This year, the three-day event featured over 100,000 square feet of show space with around 150 custom bikes on display, as well as custom cars, hot rods, and an interactive art gallery.
As in recent years past, our man on the ground was Kody Melton, a Harley-Davidson road racer, Texas native, and incredibly talented photographer.
