Adventures With Big Stoves: Amanda Zito’s Summer Travel Fun

Date

ADVrider.com

Moto-YouTuber Amanda Zito, is back with another update to her As The Magpie Flies YouTube channel, and this time we’re talking about… Big Camp Stoves. And going to a ghost town, and then Revzilla’s Get On! ADV Fest! And this time, her brother Gary is back along for the ride.
It’s worth watching to see her take on the Jetboil Genesis II stove, a big two-burner setup—but not as big as the old Coleman suitcase stoves that most of us remember from camping trips in the years before everything became uber ultralight. This Jetboil stove certainly isn’t as compact as a single-burner campstove like Amanda usually uses for her camping trips, but if you need a two-burner setup to cook for multiple people, it’s quite capable if you’ve got the room for it.
From there, Amanda and Gary are off to a ghost town, exploring an old silver mining settlement, and then—Get On! ADV Fest!
ADVwriter Justin Hughes was there last year, and actually spent some time riding with Amanda—you can see his own report on the rally here (we looked, but didn’t see him in the background of Amanda’s video). Amanda and Gary have their own perspective, including a test-ride on CFMOTO’s new Ibex 800 adventure bike thrown in.
If you liked what you saw here, you should know that Amanda is working on a pretty cool side project—a moto camping cookbook. She’s got details on her site here, and of course there is more info to come next week, when pre-orders start.
