This 2007 Ducati 1098S Tricolore is one of 1,030 examples produced and, like all Tricolores, is finished in the red, white, and green colors of the Italian flag. Power is provided by a 1,099cc Testastretta Evoluzione L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission, and additional equipment includes Öhlins adjustable suspension, a single-sided swingarm, Marchesini forged alloy wheels, triple Brembo disc brakes, a Ducati Data Analyzer, and a Termignoni dual exhaust system. This 1098S Tricolore was acquired by its current owner in 2013 and is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of its owner with a clean New York title in the owner’s name.

Fully faired Tricolore bodywork that pays homage to the red, white, and green Italian flag is mounted over a gold-finished trellis frame. Features include a clear windscreen, a carbon-fiber front fender and exhaust heat shield, a locking storage compartment in the tail section, fairing-mounted mirrors with integrated front turn signals, a black solo racing-style seat with rear bump pads, and a 4.1-gallon fuel tank with a carbon-look Ducati Corse zipper guard.

Marchesini 17″ Y-spoke forged aluminum wheels are finished in gold and mounted with Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro tires showing 2007 production-date codes. Adjustable Öhlins suspension consists of an inverted 43mm fork with titanium-nitride-coated stanchions as well as a piggyback monoshock connected to the single-sided alloy swingarm by way of a progressive linkage. Braking is provided by a pair of 330mm drilled rotors with Brembo Monobloc calipers up front as well as a single 245mm drilled rotor with a Brembo two-piston caliper at the rear.

Clip-on handlebars are secured below a top triple clamp that anchors an Öhlins piston-type steering damper. Instrumentation consists of a MotoGP-derived LCD unit with an integrated shift light, a row of indicator lamps, an arcing bar-style tachometer, and digital readouts for speed, lap times, air and coolant temperatures, and a clock as well as the Ducati Data Analyzer (DDA). The digital odometer shows 217 miles.

The liquid-cooled 1,099cc Testastretta Evoluzione L-twin was factory rated at 160 horsepower and features four desmodromic valves per cylinder, Marelli electronic fuel injection, elliptical throttle bodies, and a Termignoni dual exhaust system with carbon-fiber muffler covers. The ECU is said to have been re-mapped for the exhaust system. The battery was replaced in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a dry clutch, a six-speed transmission, and a drive chain.
