This 2007 BMW R1200S remained with its previous owner for approximately 12 years before it was acquired out of California on BaT in April 2024 and subsequently purchased by the seller. The bike now has 10k miles and is powered by a 1,170cc opposed twin mated to a six-speed transmission and an enclosed driveshaft. An Akrapovič titanium and carbon-fiber muffler as well as an MRA windscreen have been added, and additional equipment includes an oil cooler, 17″ alloy wheels, rider-switchable ABS brakes, adjustable Öhlins suspension, heated grips, and seating for two. Finished in yellow, this R1200S is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a rear wheel stand, a motorcycle cover, and a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.
The bodywork is finished in yellow and is mounted over a silver-finished tubular steel frame. Features include a 4.5-gallon fuel tank, an MRA smoke-gray windscreen, a side stand, folding passenger foot pegs, a rear pillion cover, and fairing-mounted mirrors with integrated turn signals. A removable protective film has been applied to the sides and rear of the fuel tank.
Black-finished 17″ multi-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Power 2CT tires measuring 120/70 up front and 190/50 out back. The rider-switchable ABS system is comprised of black-finished four-piston calipers gripping a pair of 320mm floating discs up front in addition to a two-piston caliper gripping a single 265mm disc out back. Adjustable Öhlins shocks are fitted to the Telelever front end as well as the Paralever single-sided aluminum swingarm.
Clip-on handlebars with heated grips are integrated into the upper triple clamp and front instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline as well as a row of indicator lights and a digital multifunction display. The digital odometer indicates 10k miles, approximately 100 miles were ridden by the seller.
The air-cooled 1,170cc opposed twin features four valves per cylinder, two spark plugs per cylinder, electronic fuel injection, and an oil cooler. Factory-rated output was 122 horsepower and 83 lb-ft of torque. An Akrapovič dual-exit under-tail titanium and carbon-fiber muffler has been fitted to the two-into-one exhaust system, and a lithium-ion battery has been installed. The seller notes the lithium-ion battery is not compatible with the BMW battery charger included.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a single-plate dry clutch, a six-speed transmission, and an enclosed driveshaft.
A Wunderlich indoor motorcycle cover, an oil service tool, a BMW battery charger, and a rear wheel stand are included in the sale along with manufacturer’s literature, initial purchase documents, and service records.
