The Congregation Show is an indoor invitational vintage motorcycle and car show held each year in Charlotte, North Carolina. The good folks at Prism Supply and DicE Magazine have built the show from the ground up over the last several years, and it’s fast become one of our favorite events of the year.

One of the highlights is simply the venue itself, Camp North End, which is brimming with history.
“Architect Albert Kahn designed the first factory here for the Ford Motor Company in 1924. The 240,000 square foot building was powered by three massive coal-powered boilers, which are still on site behind the Boileryard’s water tower. 300,000 Model T and Model A cars were built here while the Ford Factory was active prior to the Great Depression.” –Camp North End

During WWII, the Army used the grounds as a massive quartermaster depot, and the inactive military tracks are still in place. Then, during the Cold War, the site was used in missile production.
“The conveyor belts were used to aid in munitions packing and building army grade vehicles, called ‘Gama Goats’. The US Army referred to the site as CAMP, short for Charlotte Area Missile Plant, which is what inspired the name we use today.”

The brick floors are original, and the massive historic space is absolutely perfect for a gathering of vintage motorcycles, cars, vans, hot rods, and even a few custom pedal bikes.
“We are inspired by the history & engineering of these machines and the many talented builders that breathe new life into them. It is our mission to create a community that connects and inspires motorcycle builders, vendors, sponsors and enthusiasts.” -Congregation Show Founders

The show acts as a fundraiser for disability rights and resources. There was an added donation drop-off for folks in Western North Carolina who’ve been devastated by the flooding from Hurricane Helene, and we were happy to bring a load of supplies for WNC.

As you’ll see in the photographs, the show is heavily biased toward choppers and vintage American iron, but we’re big fans of anything on two wheels. The craftsmanship, style, and history on display were staggering. Plus, a few Japanese and European bikes sneaked into the mix, including the Yamaha SCR950 “Tengu” of our buddy Jared Morris of Bullet Bob Moto.

Our man Drew Perlmutter was hoping to shoot the show, but some issues came up as he did the last-minute prep on the Honda CL250 he’s about to ride 1000 miles along the Baja Peninsula with Speed Deluxe — shit happens, especially with vintage bikes! So the camerawork was done by our Editor in Chief, Taylor Brown, who’s admittedly better behind a keyboard than camera.

Still, we hope you enjoy these images from the show, and if you’re within striking distance of Charlotte, put The Congregation Show on your radar for 2025!
