This 2005 BMW R1200ST was acquired out of California from its second owner by the seller in 2023, and it subsequently received an overhaul of the fuel system and a replacement starter motor, battery, and spark plugs. Power is provided by an air- and oil-cooled 1,170cc opposed twin mated to a six-speed transmission and an enclosed driveshaft, and the bike is finished in metallic red with gray and silver accents. R1200ST models featured electronic fuel injection, a Telelever front end, a Paralever single-sided swingarm, 17″ cast-aluminum wheels, and anti-lock triple-disc brakes, and this example is further equipped with a tinted windscreen, a height-adjustable solo seat, a passenger pillion, heated foam grips, hard-sided panniers, and both center and side stands. This R1200ST indicates 26k miles and is now offered at no reserve with a tool kit, a spare solo seat, the removed clear windscreen, service records, and a clean Connecticut title in the seller’s name.

The bodywork is finished in metallic red with gray and silver accents and is mounted over a black-finished tubular steel frame that utilizes the engine as a stressed member. An aftermarket tinted windscreen has been added, and the bike is further equipped with a 5.5-gallon fuel tank, a height-adjustable solo seat, a passenger pillion, a rear cargo rack, stacked dual headlights, fairing-integrated front turn signals, hard-sided panniers, folding passenger foot pegs, and both center and side stands. Various light bulbs were replaced in March 2023. The passenger pillion upholstery has cracks, corrosion is noted on various fasteners, and blemishes on the panniers and fairings can be viewed in the gallery.

Multi-spoke 17″ cast aluminum wheels are mounted with Dunlop RoadSmart III tires that have production-date codes from 2022. Linked anti-lock braking is handled by four-piston calipers mounted over a pair of cross-drilled discs up front along with a two-piston caliper paired with a single cross-drilled disc out back. Suspension consists of a Telelever front end with 41mm fork stanchions as well as an adjustable monoshock fitted to the Paralever single-sided swingarm. The brake fluid was flushed in March 2023.

The clip-on handlebars are equipped with heated foam grips and a pair of black mirrors and are secured below the upper triple clamp. Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline as well as a row of indicator lights and a multifunction LCD display that shows bar-style gauges for fuel level and oil temperature. The digital odometer indicates 26k miles, approximately 3k of which were ridden by the seller. The fuel-level gauge is occasionally inaccurate.

The air- and oil-cooled 1,170cc opposed twin features four valves per cylinder, two spark plugs per cylinder, electronic fuel injection, and a two-into-one exhaust system with a crossover pipe and a chrome-finished muffler. The fuel system was overhauled in March 2023, and further work at that time included changing the oil, adjusting the valves, timing, and throttle cable, and replacing the starter motor, air filter, battery, and spark plugs.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a single-plate dry clutch, a six-speed transmission, and an enclosed driveshaft. The final drive fluid was changed in March 2023.

The removed clear windscreen, a spare solo seat, a tool kit, and service records will accompany the motorcycle.
