This 1985 Suzuki GS550ES was first sold at Watson Motorsport, Inc. of Midlothian, Illinois, and is said to have remained with a single family until it was acquired by the seller in 2023. Finished in white with black and blue accents, the motorcycle is powered by an air-cooled 572cc DOHC inline-four paired with a six-speed transmission. It is also equipped with a silver-finished box-section frame, a stepped two-up seat, a rear grab bar, a four-into-two exhaust system, an air-assisted anti-dive fork, a rear monoshock, triple disc brakes, 16″ front and 18″ rear alloy wheels, and both center and side stands. Maintenance in preparation for the sale included replacing the front turn signals, cleaning and synchronizing the dual Mikuni carburetors, and overhauling the brake master cylinders and calipers. This GS550ES shows 3k miles and is offered at no reserve in Illinois with copies of historical sales paperwork, a tool kit, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.

The bodywork is mounted over a box-section frame and is finished in white with blue and black accents. Additional details include a stepped two-up seat, a rear grab bar, a recessed petcock switch, dual mirrors, replacement front turn signals, a half fairing with a clear windscreen, and both center and side stands. The seller notes epoxy repairs on the side panels and touched-up chips in the finish on the fuel tank.

Split three-spoke alloy wheels measuring 16″ up front and 18″ out back are wrapped in Dunlop tires with pre-2000 date codes. Suspension consists of an air-assisted anti-dive fork in addition to a monoshock attached to the swingarm. Stopping power is provided by dual disc brakes up front and a single disc brake at the rear, all of which are equipped with drilled rotors. The brake master cylinders and calipers were overhauled in preparation for the sale.

Black-finished handlebars are secured above the upper triple clamp, which fronts an instrument panel housing a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a fuel level gauge, and a gear position readout along with additional indicator lamps. The five-digit odometer shows 3k miles, approximately 50 of which were added by the seller.

The air-cooled 572cc inline-four is equipped with an electric starter, Suzuki’s Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber (TSCC) cylinder head design, and a black-finished four-into-two exhaust system. Maintenance in preparation for the sale involved changing the oil and the air filter as well as ultrasonically cleaning and synchronizing the dual Mikuni BSW30 carburetors.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission and a drive chain.

A tool kit will accompany the motorcycle along with a Suzuki-branded chain lock and copies of historical sales paperwork. Screenshots of parts receipts can be viewed in the gallery below.
