You make it work, so thank you – and a big thank you to @G’ree, who sent us this week’s Featured Photo. “My son and I rode from southwest Washington to Hyder, Alaska, and this is a picture of him viewing the Bear glacier near Stewart, B.C. We made the ride in nine days and about 2200 miles of riding and a bunch of miles on ferries.” His son was riding a 2013 KTM 1190 Adventure, and G’ree submitted two more shots from this trip, which took place just a couple of weeks ago.
This is the Salmon glacier. I believe it is actually in B.C., but we had to ride through Hyder, Alaska, to get to it.
We are getting ready to board the ferry for a 16 hour ride down the Inside Passage from Prince Rupert, B.C., to Port Hardy, B.C. My bike is the [2022] Kawasaki Z650RS. I may not have many more of these multi-day rides as I am 83 years old.
Heading for Georgia
Here is “Bison,” the BMW R1200 GS that @Peter640 and partner have ridden to so many wonderful places, and then shared the photos with us. Now, he’s sharing a picture of them leaving with “Das Wünderbike!” for Georgia. “See more in the RR ‘I’ve got Georgia on my Mind . . . the intersection of Europe and Asia.’ ”
“We left the UK yesterday and made Schotten Germany tonight! So far, so good! More to come!” (Well, that’s good news!) Photos from just a few days ago.
Wide awake in America
Here we have a shot from @dripdrop, whose 2013 Honda XR650L was situated beside a bit of street art a week or so ago. What’s that, you say? “It’s a street painting by the artist Cbabi Bayoc. I was pretty stoked when I saw this and I like to say it out loud every time I pass it. Are we still dreaming?????” This is Wellston, Missouri, and we’ve linked to it so you can have a better look at the artwork.
On the shore
Here’s a pic of the 2014 Kawasaki KLR650 that @Gord rode along the south shore of Lake Erie a few days ago.
Getting up there
@Gladdy_moto was riding the high mountain passes of Montana a few days ago and shot the image below with a Canon R10 fitted with a 24–105L lens. That’s his 2023 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R making the mountains look good.
Scotch, but not “scotch”
Here are three shots from @ListyMatt, “Photos from my recent (and still ongoing) trip from home in Ontario to Newfoundland. Made a stop at Glenora on the Cabot Trail, Canada’s only single malt distillery. They aren’t allowed to call it Scotch. It is Scotch though.”
Also the Dildo Brewing Company in, of course, Dildo, Newfoundland.
And a pic of me at first sunset at Cape Spear, the easternmost point in North America. 5:42 a.m. on this particular day.

Winter ride
Here’s something from @kiwial that will conclude our adventure this week – a camp shot at the “French Pass” in Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand, where it’s the middle of winter. Photo taken a couple of weeks ago. That’s a Suzuki GSX waking up in the morning sunlight.
