[[{“value”:”This past month was the inaugural Handbuilt Invitational LA, hosted by Revival Cycles at DTLA Auto Garage in Los Angeles, California. Most of you know the annual Handbuilt Show in Austin, Texas — Revival’s hometown — which is a highlight of the year for the custom world.
Now they’ve turned their eyes farther west with the LA show. The show featured builds curated by three icons of the automotive / motorcycle industry: Jay Leno, Jonathan Ward of ICON 4×4, and Rod Emory of Emory Motorsports, known for his Porsche “outlaw” customs.
In addition, they had friends from Real Deal Revolution on-site conducting a “Real Deal Workshoppe” where they’ll taught pinstriping and leatherworks, Aaron Coulton doing his stunt show at multiple times, and much more.
The LA show was July 5-7, and featured more than 150 bikes along with lots of neat four-wheel vehicles like Ford Bronco restomods brought from ICON 4×4, Porsche 356 outlaws from Emory Motorsports, a couple of mind-blowing Gunther Werks 911 builds, and much more.
The two-wheeled machines included custom bikes from many of the country’s top builders — especially those located in California, Nevada, and generally west of Texas — as well as rare vintage bikes, a couple of very cool teen-built projects, and even a few of Steve McQueen’s bikes, courtesy of the Petersen Museum.
The show gallery just went live, and we’re thrilled to share many of the bikes from the show! All photos courtesy of Revival Cycles and The Handbuilt Show.
