Here’s everything you need to know about Suzuki’s 2024 V-Strom 800 Touring adventure sport bike.This motorcycle is all-new for the 2024 model year. It’s powered by Suzuki’s 776cc parallel-twin engine (read the Suzuki Introduces 776cc Parallel-Twin Engine 2023 article), water-cooled dual-valve camshafts with an eight-valve cylinder head. It’s rated at 72 hp at the business end of that 17-inch rear wheel and upwards of 50 lb.-ft. of torque. It drinks from a generous 5.3-gallon fuel tank and delivers 36 mpg. The cable-actuated clutch, six-speed transmission, and chain final drive round things off.This motorcycle with a full tank of gas weighs in at 500 pounds. It rolls on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast aluminum wheels shod with Dunlop’s Japanese-spec D614 rubber. Suspension-wise, it employs a Showa inverted fork and a linkage-equipped Showa shock with this handy remote preload adjustment. The fork also offers preload adjustment with nearly six inches of travel, fore and aft.A stacked LED headlamp, mechanically adjustable windscreen, LED turn signals, and plastic hand guards are also included.
