The Reunion Classic Car and Motorcycle Show is back for its second year, with more choppers and hot rods right near LA International Airport. The selection focuses on classic vehicles, defined as pre-1985, but has a clear emphasis on American cars and bikes. Just like last year, the show took place at the Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo. Tickets were $10 at the door, which included access to the museum.Classic cars and all types of motorcycles lined Lairport Street as you neared the Reunion Show. Kids and pets were all welcome, so attending the show and museum proved to be a great outing for the whole family. It was busy and bustling, but not crowded. As you enter the show, you’re greeted by some vintage clothing booths, leather goods, Dad Grass, and a parking lot full of custom motorcycles. The selection of bikes was overwhelmingly chopper heavy, but there were also a couple of swingarm V-twin builds and one outstanding BSA. Raked and molded frames, long springers, and stretched forks—it was decades of SoCal chopper culture on display.Inside the main building there were a handful of vintage clothing shops, one vendor specializing in antique glassware, a tattooer working away, and of course, the bar. All of this leads into the museum’s main room, which holds a broad selection of pristine cars, but people seemed to really focus on a Delorean near the entryway. I was busy lusting after the 1984 AMC Eagle wagon, but that’s another story. The show wrapped up around 4 p.m., allowing everyone, myself included, to get home for nap time. The Reunion Show checked off all the boxes for a good show. The cars and bikes on display were different from last year, but still fit the same theme. There was a great selection of vendors with a wide variety of goods for sale. Attendance was relatively cheap, and as a bonus, the Driving Museum added a cool element to the event experience. If you didn’t get a chance to check out the show this year, we highly recommend you follow details on next year’s—it’s not to be missed. For information on next year’s third annual Reunion Show go to reunioncarandmotoshow.com or follow @Reunion.Show on Instagram. What’s better than a killer chopper in the back of a great truck?
