Ride Scotland With TeapotOne

Here’s a riding destination you don’t hear talked about often: Scotland. Maybe it’s because the UK is an expensive place to travel; maybe it’s because American motorcyclists don’t fancy riding on the wrong side of the road; maybe it’s because there are so many other places that riders want to check out first (Iceland’s fjords, the Pyrenees in Spain, the Mongolian steppe, the Moroccan desert, etc.).
Well, UK-based YouTuber TeapotOne thinks you might be missing out. Check out these videos from his 2022 Flying Scotsman ChickenStrip tour (first episode above, more below—keep an eye on his channel as he uploads more).

Looks like it’s all on roads suitable for big bikes, no single-track enduro or anything like that. The scenery looks amazing, though, and dealing with the weather might be enough of an adventure for most riders…
The videos above are from TeapotOne’s 2022 tour. He’s booking right now for a 2023 tour, running May 13-19. His description:
This is a trip for riders who want to stretch themselves on some of Britain’s most rewarding roads – and some of the more challenging ones, too. It’s packed with amazing scenery, great places to stay and possibly the best sausage rolls in Scotland (other snacks are available).
After 2022’s debut run, comments included” “Fantastic week… every day was a joy”, “A truly amazing week with great riding, scenery and people” and “Better than I could have imagined”. So join us for a week of miles, smiles, spectacular views and mile after mile of brilliant riding.
The cost is £1,310 for a rider who brings their own bike. More details here.
What do inmates have to say about Scotland?
Here’s a recent photo dump from inmate @Robertk85, showing his adventures in Scotland. Inmate @MotoSpen shared some photos of his adventures here. And. here’s a report from @skyguy. Looks like an excellent time, as long as you pack a rain jacket.
