The new 2024 Hydra-Glide Revival is the fourth installment in Harley’s Icons Collection, and celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Hydra-Glide front suspension. (Harley-Davidson/)With Daytona Bike Week officially open for business, we fully expected to see new model unveilings stoking the crowds at the Florida rally. And right on schedule, Harley has pulled the wraps off the new 2024 Hydra-Glide Revival for its limited-edition Icons Motorcycle Collection, along with three new bikes to join its limited-run Enthusiast Motorcycle Collection. Those three include the Low Rider ST, the Ultra Limited, and the Tri Glide Ultra, with all four models being displayed from March 2 to 9 during Bike Week at Daytona International Speedway. All of them are also available now at Harley-Davidson dealers.Classic styling holds sway on the new Hydra-Glide, with a two-tone “slash” color scheme paying homage to the 1956 models. Two-tone 21-inch windshield and chrome badges on the tank and front fender also carry the theme. (Harley-Davidson/)Icons Collection: 2024 Hydra-Glide RevivalFirst up is the Hydra-Glide Revival, the fourth release in the Harley-Davidson Icons Motorcycle Collection. If you’re familiar with the Icons theme, you know the annual series showcases new models that are restyled to channel an iconic Harley from the past; last year we were treated to the Electra Glide Highway King, a riff on the 1968 FLH Electra Glide. Each bike is also produced just once in a limited run and individually numbered, with global production of the Hydra-Glide Revival pegged at 1,750 units.As with the previous bikes, the Hydra-Glide celebrates a particular era or innovation, and in this case, it’s the 75th anniversary of the Hydra-Glide telescopic front suspension for Harley’s E and F models. That technology first appeared in 1949, and when Hydra-Glide-equipped models came online, they offered a compelling way to explore the US and its burgeoning network of interstate highways. The new Hydra-Glide Revival taps into that era via period detailing and classic paint schemes, while still offering the performance and comfort of a modern machine. (Harley-Davidson/)Rich, premium paint is obviously a key consideration for any limited-edition model, and staying true to H-D’s 1956 E and F bikes, the Hydra-Glide Revival gets a custom Redline Red paint with a Birch White panel on the tank sides. The distinct chrome “Harley-Davidson V” tank badges also riff on the 1955–56 badges, with additional “Hydra-Glide” script seen on the front fender skirt. (Harley-Davidson/)The period-specific cues continue with a speedometer featuring graphics straight out of 1954–55, while the two-tone detachable windshield’s color-matched lower is also done in Redline Red. The appropriately old-school round air cleaner cover, chrome laced wheels, and other components add a brilliant shine, while the solo saddle is finished with a fringed leather valance and a chrome rail to further the nostalgic look. (Harley-Davidson/)Unlike those 1950s panheads, the Hydra-Glide Revival is built on a powertrain that’s thoroughly modern, in this case helmed by a counterbalanced Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-twin engine tuned with a Screamin’ Eagle High-Flow air cleaner. In fact, there’s most of a current Heritage Classic model buried underneath all the retro touches, with the usual Softail bits like a 49mm fork, an adjustable monoshock rear suspension, and chrome spoked wheels. Electronic cruise control and an LED headlamp and auxiliary lamps are also a straight carryover, with standard Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) also coming onboard. The bike rides lower and the screen is taller, however, than the base Heritage. And if you still need more shove from this machine, the 2024 Hydra-Glide’s M-8 114 also accepts all applicable Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Stage Upgrade kits. (Harley-Davidson/)Enthusiast Collection: 2024 Low Rider STThe bikes in 2024′s Enthusiast Collection, meanwhile, get a special “tobacco” paint scheme that’s meant to mimic the warm finishes and tones of rock ‘n’ roll’s most famous guitars. Officially known as the 2024 Tobacco Fade Enthusiast Collection, the series includes three models for 2024, all mechanically identical to the mainline machines, but tarted up with styling, detailing, and premium factory custom paint to distinguish them as special-edition machines.In this case, it’s all about the Tobacco Fade premium paint job, factory-applied using state-of-the-art precision paint tools to achieve a faded panel appearance. A rich caramel-colored pinstripe emphasizes the metallic gold panel floating just outside the sunburst fade. The fuel tank medallion is inspired by the grooves of a vinyl record, while a rock ‘n’ roll–inspired graphic on the front fender is shaped like a guitar pick.Below the cool colors, though, is an otherwise unchanged Low Rider ST, a so-called V-twin sport-touring machine draped in West Coast attitude and powered by the rorty Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-twin powertrain. (Harley-Davidson/)Enthusiast Collection: 2024 Ultra LimitedThe 2024 Ultra Limited also offers a Tobacco Fade treatment option in addition to its already standard long-haul touring amenities with features like that classic-style batwing fairing, four-speaker audio, a Tour-Pak luggage carrier, and plenty of comfort. As on the other Tobacco bikes, there’s a record-inspired fuel tank medallion unique to this scheme; a stylized guitar pick graphic on the front fender; and for the Ultra, an Enthusiast Collection–branded logo atop the Tour-Pak luggage carrier. Again, this Ultra is mechanically identical to the standard 2024 Ultra Limited model, with a Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine, 49mm Dual Bending Valve fork, standard linked braking with ABS, and Boom! Box GTS infotainment. MSRP for the base Ultra is $32,499; Tobacco Fade adds $2,900.The 2024 Tri Glide Ultra also gets the Tobacco Fade treatment which adds $4,000 to the base MSRP of the standard model. No more than 2,000 units of the Tobacco bike will be produced however. (Harley-Davidson/)Enthusiast Collection: 2024 Tri Glide UltraCompleting the Tobacco Fade Enthusiast Collection is the 2024 Tri Glide Ultra, H-D’s long-haul touring trike that brings top-shelf touches like premium infotainment, impressive power, and gobs of cargo space. An integrated trunk offers 4.4 cubic feet of storage capacity, while the injection-molded Tour-Pak luggage carrier adds an additional 2.4 cubic feet of storage capacity, and with the spacious integrated passenger seat, makes comfortable two-up rides a breeze. The Tobacco treatment includes a record-inspired fuel tank medallion; guitar pick graphic on the fender; and an Enthusiast Collection–branded logo on top of Tour-Pak luggage carrier.As with the standard 2024 Tri Glide Ultra model, you get an M-8 powertrain, 49mm Dual Bending Valve fork, Boom! Box GTS infotainment, and the full raft of H-D’s Rider Safety Enhancements, including traction control, cornering ABS, and linked braking. MSRP for the base Tri Glide is $37,999, and the Tobacco Fade treatment adds $4,000.The 2024 Enthusiast Collection is a limited-production run—no more than 2,000 of each bike will be produced.
