This 2001 Yamaha YZF-R1 spent time in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho before it was acquired by the seller in 2021, and it now indicates 8k miles. Powered by a 998cc DOHC 20-valve inline-four paired with a six-speed transmission, the motorcycle is finished in blue with white and silver graphics. It also features a Deltabox II aluminum frame, a quartet of Mikuni carburetors, a four-into-one exhaust system with an EXUP valve and a titanium muffler, and a full fairing with a clear windscreen as well as adjustable suspension, 17″ cast aluminum wheels, triple disc brakes, clip-on handlebars, an aftermarket horn, a one-piece tail section with a solo seat and a passenger pillion cover, and a side stand. This R1 is offered in Oregon with an owner’s manual, a service manual, a paddock stand, an upper fairing cover, removed components, and a clean Montana title in the seller’s name.

The fully faired bodywork is finished in blue with white and silver graphics, and it is mounted over a twin-spar Deltabox II aluminum frame. Features include an integrated clear windscreen, twin headlights, dual fairing-mounted mirrors, rear-set foot controls, and a side stand as well as a one-piece tail section with a black solo seat, a passenger pillion, and dual taillights. The seller notes that the bike has been fitted with a DENALI Electronics SoundBomb dual-tone air horn in addition to aftermarket headlight bulbs. Photos depicting paint blemishes are presented in the gallery.

Black-finished 17″ cast aluminum three-spoke wheels are mounted with 120/70 front and 190/50 rear Dunlop Sportmax Q3+ tires that have production date codes from 2020 and 2018, respectively. Adjustable suspension consists of an inverted 41mm fork in addition to a piggyback monoshock attached to the braced aluminum swingarm. Braking is provided by dual four-piston calipers and floating rotors up front as well as a two-piston caliper and a drilled rotor at the rear.

Clip-on handlebars with bar-end weights are secured beneath the upper triple clamp. Instrumentation consists of an analog 13k-rpm tachometer with an inset coolant-temperature display in addition to a row of indicator lights and a multifunction LCD screen with a digital speedometer. The digital odometer indicates 8k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership.

The liquid-cooled 998cc DOHC inline-four features five valves per cylinder, four 40mm Mikuni carburetors with throttle position sensors, and a four-into-one exhaust system with an EXUP valve and a titanium muffler. Additional features include an aluminum oil cooler, a ram-air intake system, a digital TC ignition module, and an electric starter. The seller reports that the air filter and the fuel filter were replaced within the last 300 miles.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through an oiled multi-plate clutch, a six-speed transmission, and a drive chain.
